Since 2006, Joy Bennett M.S., BCBA has been serving the individuals and families of the Orlando Metro Area in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Having grown up in Orlando, she attended Bishop Moore High School, where she was able to continue her love for sports by joining the varsity basketball team. She then went on to obtain her B.A in Psychology from Florida State University in 2004. Following her return to Orlando, Joy began her career in ABA in 2006 at an early intervention program. She remained at that program for 15 years where she began as a supporting therapist, before becoming a lead therapist and ultimately ascending to a site manager role. During that time, Joy obtained her M.S. degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology, graduating from it's Masters program in early 2013.
Although the majority of her experience is in early intervention, Joy has had the privilege of working with unique individuals with varying degrees of need in a variety of professional settings. She is honored to have served as Project Manager for two grant funded programs early in her career. In her first Project Manager position with the "The Literacy Program", Joy and her team were successful in teaching disadvantaged children the foundational reading skills necessary to succeed in a kindergarten classroom. She followed that success with her next Project Manager role with "The Health and Safety Program" which allowed 39 children with disabilities to learn how to tolerate various medical and safety procedures. In 2018, she became a co-instructor for Florida Institute of Technology’s online program, which allowed Joy to continue her passion of teaching and disseminating the principles and application of Applied Behavior Analysis.

In 2021, A Peak Pathway Behavioral Services added a valued team member, a wonderful dog named Denver. Denver is an AKC registered Yellow Labrador who is in the final stages of his training. Currently he has achieved his AKC Good Canine Citizen Certification and has achieved his Graduating Certificate from Therapy Dog classes. He is now in preparation for his required hospital visits which will result in his final certification as an AKC Certified Therapy Dog. Besides his undeniably handsome face, Denver will bring his positive attitude and lovable demeanor to any therapy session where he is required or requested, reminding both the individual and the therapist that the ultimate goal of any intervention therapy session is confidence, happiness and fulfillment.

Whether in-home or in a public setting Joy is passionate about applying the scientific methods of ABA to maximize each individual's potential and assisting them in reaching their goals.
